Obtained his bachelor degree in psychology from Northeast Normal University. After that, he came to Australia and achieved Honours degree in psychology awarded by RMIT University and then completed his Professional Master degree in counselling and psychotherapy at Monash University. He prefers Cognitive behavioural therapy and metacognitive therapy in dealing with mental health issues, relationship issues and internet addictions.
He did a cross cultural research about the relationship between parenting styles and children's school achievement at Northeast East Normal University and also did a research about Internet Addiction Disorders there.
When did his Honours degree at RMIT University and Parenting Research Centre, he evaluated the effectiveness and appropriateness of a parenting intervention program within the local Chinese community.
Throughout his studies in counselling and psychotherapy, he did placement at Parenting Research Centre as a student researcher, Anglicare and Doncare Community and Counselling Centre as a volunteer to assist service delivery within the Chinese Community across Melbourne. He endeavours to help people get through difficulties, especially the Chinese Immigrants and overseas students.
Currently he is a full registered counsellor and psychotherapist within Australia Register of Counsellor and Psychotherapist and Australian Counselling Association, and is the registered private provider of Medibank Private, Bupa Private, Australia Unity and Doctor's health Insurance. Rebate is applicable for eligible private insurance holders.
